 When a child development gal
marries a graphic designer guy
with an affinity for all things retro, what
you get is a happy family living in a house with old travel posters and
diner photos on the walls and the most textbook children on the planet
(snicker).
In between refereeing their three kids’ squabbles, the child development gal
somehow finds time to scrapbook. The graphic design guy secretly likes it
too (but please don’t mention this to the power tool set).
 One year, child development
gal’s hipster (younger) brother and sister-in-law are with child. So,
for a unique shower gift, our scrapbooking duo develop a unique, retro-y
baby book that allows the hipster couple to drop in their photos of the new
little guy at their leisure, having no desire to start scrapbooking
themselves. Remember, they are hipster.
The book is such a hit among the young, trendy shower
guests that the hipster sister-in-law, who happens to have a marketing
background, suggests that this book might have broader appeal.
The more the idea rolled around in their heads, the
more all of them liked it. So the marketing gal, now home with her little
hipster, and the child development gal guide the graphic designer guy with
ideas, and, Voila! HipsterTots was born in the summer of 2007.
 We hope you find the books as
unique and fun as we do. We have plans to expand into other ages (toddlers,
elementary age, etc.) and perhaps some other hipster baby stuff too.
